The show is over: now the real work begins!

Thank you for an overwhelmingly successful ISPA Expo 2010. We anticipated a good response to our new mattress machines, but customer reactions exceeded all our expectations. Thanks again for the great show.

The hall floor is now empty, but GSG mattress machinery is ready to fill factory floors now. If you have more questions about the equipment we displayed or still need to see other options, please contact your GSG salesman for assistance.

DST-60 quilt panel de-stacker

For instance, did you get a chance to see a demonstration of our DST-60, de-stacker? This machine automatically lifts mattress panels into place for flanging or serging following the panel cutting operation. It reduces non-value added touches by the flange operator by positioning the panel into place when the flanger is ready for the next panel.

You're always welcome to request more info through our GSG website form as well.

Gribetz debuts dedicated border quilter at ISPA Expo

This dedicated border quilt machine, from Gribetz International, was a popular topic at the ISPA Expo. This quilt machine's footprint is about half the size of a typical mattress panel quilter.

Border Quilt Machine

The Border Quilter has incorporated slitter blades on the exit side and slit border material is collected on a wind up roll. This works well as a part of a mattress border work cell as displayed in GSG booth 2625. This machine is capable of producing enough border material to match two mattress top panel quilt machines, depending of pattern selection.

This allows mattress manufacturers to keep full size quilters dedicated to producing top panels while this machine churns out complementing border material.

Porter International introduces new vertical handle system at ISPA EXPO

I'm finally back in the office and pleased to share more info about the ISPA EXPO 2010. Global Systems Group had a great show and we thank all of you who could join us in Charlotte, and we look forward to sharing our new equipment with those of you who could not attend.

Vertical Handle Machine

This highly affordable Porter vertical handle system works in conjunction with the strap maker and cutter system shown separately. This efficient handle machine easily adds handles to mattress borders in the border work cell.

This efficient method is dependable and easy to operate. The strong handle sewing secures the vertical handles to the edges of the border material.

Porter International has once again provided the mattress industry with an efficient, reliable system for another popular application.

Contact your GSG rep to learn more about this border work cell.

The race car simulator has been a tremendous hit in the booth during ISPA EXPO. The fun will continue at the Fan Appreciation Night party tonight at the North Carolina Music Factory. More racing arcade games will be included with great food, drinks and music.

It's official: Tim Westrate is the day's top driver. Tim will receive his prize, an authentic racing experience at a top stock car race track, at tonight's party!

Congratulations to all our contestants, and congratulations to all our customers who choose GSG mattress machinery.

Good morning Day 2 at ISPA Expo

Good morning from the GSG booth on Day 2 of ISPA Expo.

Yesterday, this new Porter International PALS 2000 automated label machine saw a lot of attention. It has similar sewing technology used in more familiar PALS 3000 mattress panel auto-labeler.

The PALS 2000 is designed for the growing popularity of applying mattress labels to the borders. The high speed automation allows the operator to multi-task on other work while the PALS 2000 sews on the label.

I'll share more info on new GSG mattress machines throughout the show.

All the new mattress machines GSG is demonstrating worked great and interest grew as the day rolled on.

Hopefully, the momentum will continue tomorrow.

This race car simulator is very popular in the booth. There's a lot of fun with some fast paced good times. The racing contest will end on Thursday, so get in the race as soon as you can.

Winners will recieve their Racing Experience prize on Thursday night at the Fan Appreciation party.

GSG has some great mattress machines in Booth 2625, but I must admit this is one of the most popular.

Opening Day at ISPA Expo for GSG

It has been a wild week preparing all the new equipment for the ISPA Expo. We've seen cold weather, snow, rain and now the opening day has finally arrived.

Here is an initial glimpse at the booth entrance at GSG Booth 2625. I'll discuss more about the new mattress machines we are demonstrating and update more show information.

OK - I must return to customer assistance for now.....
